Her voice has been described as “possessing richness and interpretive depth as well as impressive power and expressiveness” Her recent engagements include the role of New Prioress in Poulenc’s Dialogues des Carmélites, Magda in Menotti’s The Consul , Lady Billows in Bruce Beresford’s production of Albert Herring in Brisbane, Australia, Arminda in Mozart’s La finta giardinera, and the world premier of Emily’s Garden by Olga Amelkina-Vera as part of the Emerging Sounds concert series in Dallas, Texas.
Michelle Alexander is an American dramatic soprano currently pursuing an artist diploma at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama under the tutelage of Christine Cairns.

Michelle won second place and audience choice in the 2017 London Wagner Society competition, She was awarded first prize in the Classical Singer Competition in the United States. She is a two-time winner of the Utah District Metropolitan Opera auditions where she also received the honour of the audience choice prize three years running.
She is also a founder, producer, and director of New Opera for a New World, a program dedicated to bring together young artistic professionals across various mediums to create original contemporary micro operas that explore current issues, events, and ideas.
